You may be wondering who we are and what we're about?
Simply put, we're a congregation of God's people working together
to serve God and our community - YOU!
Welcome to Biltmore Church of Christ located at 823 Fairview St. Asheville, NC in Buncombe County. Our church is right off Hendersonville Rd. turning at the Province restaurant onto Fairview Rd.
You may join us for worship service every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and Bible study every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. and Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. There are classes for every age during the Bible study times. We have an awesome active youth group who are involved in many outreach, social, and growth programs including Leadership Training for Christ (LTC). Our children’s ministry includes programs to help children grow in the knowledge of God’s Word and His Love. For our members who have grown children, we have a group called the “Empty Nesters” who meet monthly for service projects such as helping feed the vets and social activities which includes occasional trips. There is a men’s fellowship group that meets weekly apart from the regular service hours for an extra dose of Bible study. The ladies encourage one another through the Secret Sister ministry. We, also, have a well established pantry program to reach out to those who are hungry and in need.
In addition to these ministries, we also have several “life groups” that meet every Sunday at different times and locations (usually homes) starting around 5:00. In these groups, you will get a chance to fellowship, dine together, discuss sermon topics, and simply experience more of God’s love. Life groups, also, take turns going to a nursing home to reach out to the elderly every month.
God tells us we are “a people belonging to God, that we may declare the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9). Are we perfect? No. Do we believe we’re better than you or anyone else? No. The passage quoted above expresses it best. God has “called us out” of the sad conformity of this world into His wonderful way of living for Him. After searching for happiness in so many different ways, we can’t help but share the treasure of true happiness we’ve found in Jesus Christ! At Biltmore you’ll find people of all races, cultures, backgrounds, and opinions. You’ll find people who have messed up. You’ll find people who seem to have done everything right. The truth is we’re all sinners (Romans 3:23). What holds us together is an intimate bond found only in the blood Jesus shed on the cross to save us from our sins. Barriers the world has taught us to build crumble when we study the truth of God’s Word. We want to love others the way Jesus did and live holy lives as He taught us to. We want to be known by our dedication to God, to each other, and to YOU! You’ll know us by our love. Come see if we practice what we preach? We'd love to talk with you and have you visit us soon.
